Q: I'm curious, what's your Artistic Clarity Club all about?
A: The Artistic Clarity Club is a social club associated with the teachings of Artistic Clarity. It is an exclusive gathering intended for its students and one-to-one clients. It is meant to foster a community centered around the themes of contemporary artists, culture, and personal expression. The Club is a platform in person and on Zoom, with discussions on current international art news and access to cultural events and experiences that align with the Artistic Clarity focus. It serves as a social hub and a way to deepen engagement with Artistic Clarity’s content and ethos. Events will begin this fall.
Also, since I am cutting back on the Artistic Clarity social media presence, subscribers to this newsletter will be the first and sometimes only people to learn about events, courses, and new Artistic Clarity opportunities.
If You Don't Have Time for Your Art Practice Today, You Never Will
In the modern world, time is a complex entity for artists and creatives. Art practice time is a precious resource for forging ideas and honing skills, yet it's also a slippery gem that can easily evade our grasp.
To those who have embarked on the noble pursuit of art practice, time is not merely a resource but a sacred commitment—a promise to nurture and cultivate one's creative spirit. It is a pact with the muse, an agreement to show up even when inspiration falters, and the muse seems to have taken an extended holiday.
In the hustle and bustle of modern life, where demands pull us in myriad directions, the luxury of time often feels like an extravagant indulgence reserved for the lucky few. Yet, time is democratic—it presents itself to each of us in equal measure, ticking away with impartiality. The challenge lies not in the quantity of time we possess, but in the quality of attention, we bestow upon our craft.
Consider this: if today slips by without a single brush stroke or a scribble upon the page, what guarantee do we have that tomorrow will offer more? The truth is stark yet liberating—there will never be a perfect moment, a pristine stretch of uninterrupted hours devoted solely to creativity. Life's path is woven with interruptions, obligations, and mundane necessities that threaten to eclipse our artistic ambitions.
Yet, within this cacophony of existence lies the kernel of possibility—a stolen hour here, a stolen moment there, snatched from the jaws of routine and obligation. In these stolen moments, the true mettle of an artist is tested, where the commitment to one's craft is forged in the crucible of everyday life.
To the visual artist navigating the labyrinth of form and color, to the writer grappling with words that dance just out of reach, to the performer harnessing the alchemy of movement and emotion, and to the crafter weaving threads into intricate path of meaning—the call to art is a summons to defy the tyranny of busyness. It is a rallying cry to reclaim time, to carve out space amidst the chaos, and to declare, with every fiber of your being, that your art practice matters.
When you find yourself on the brink of another day, with the tempting whispers of procrastination in your ear, remember this: the time for your art practice is now. Not tomorrow, not when the stars align, but now, in the beautifully imperfect present.
Remember, if you don't make time for your art practice today, you may never find the time.
My personal experience:
As an art practice coach, I understand that not everyone maintains a daily creative routine, and that's perfectly okay. I encourage my clients to trust that their artistic path will continue to unfold if they stay committed. As a practitioner, I occasionally miss days devoted to my craft. Through these lapses, I've seen them not as setbacks but as opportunities for personal growth.
Navigating distractions and fulfilling obligations can sometimes derail our artistic pursuits. For me, each missed day becomes a turning point—an opportunity to recalibrate and reaffirm my dedication to creativity. I hold dear the principle of embracing experimentation. I reignite my artistic passion by experimenting with new rhythms, techniques, and approaches.
Diverging from routine is essential for evolving creatively. These moments teach me resilience, flexibility, and the enduring power of curiosity in nurturing creativity. Despite the temptation to procrastinate, I remind myself that interruptions don't define my art practice. What matters most is my unwavering commitment to return to it.
Every day presents a fresh start, a stage awaiting my presence. As an art practice coach, persistence and the willingness to embrace imperfection are the foundations of enduring creative expression.
Give yourself 3 minutes a day, and watch your art grow.

I remember asking that question about what your Artistic Clarity Club is all about (I believe it was somewhere around the beginning of July when I sent that message) and I'm surprised you turned my question into a blog post. Thank you so much for answering my question! I enjoyed reading your blog post. :)
